1. How do you identify, and how do you describe the energy you bring into a space?
On the LGBTQ+ spectrum I identify as a lesbian, and the energy I give off is somewhat similar to Shane from the L word, iykyk. A blend of confidence, excitement, mystery, and a bit of goofiness.
2. What’s something that’s bringing you joy or grounding you right now?
Right now, what’s bringing me joy and grounding me is having those quiet moments to myself and getting to connect with friends at home.
3. What does Pride mean to you—this year, in this moment?
To me, Pride means community and coming together with intention. In a time when there are a lot of bad actors, it feels more important than ever to bring people together and show how proud we are to be uniquely ourselves.
4. What role does cannabis play in your life or creative process?
Cannabis plays a big role in my life, not just because I throw events in the industry, but also as a creative outlet. I love how it helps me feel calm and inspired, whether I’m on a walk or hanging out at the park.
5. What rituals (big or small) help you feel connected to your queerness or your community? How might these intersect, or do they?
I make it a ritual to attend Pride every year, as well as other queer events like Dyke Day and the ones I organize myself. It helps me stay connected to the community and contribute in my own way.
6. How does your queerness inform your creativity, work, or perspective on the world?
My queerness gives me a unique lens on the world. It shows up in everything from the way I create inclusive spaces to how I build events with authenticity and intention. It’s a huge part of my identity, and I wear it proudly.
7. Are you Team Lift Up or Team Wind Down right now—and when’s your favorite time to indulge?
I’m definitely Team Lift Up, since I naturally have a lot of energy, but I also love a cozy movie night at home and definitely consider myself a homebody at heart.
8. What’s your dream sesh: the setting, the vibe, the people (or solitude)?
My dream sesh would be out in the forest, hanging out with a group of iconic queers—maybe even Joan Jett—just enjoying the vibe and each other's company.
9. Describe your high self in three words.
Giggly, creative, and a little clumsy.
